About Profile Technologies

Profile Technologies, Inc. was incorporated in 1986 and commenced operations in fiscal year 1988. The Company is in the business of inspecting pipelines for corrosion and other anomalies that require inspection to verify pipeline integrity. Profile has developed a patented, non-destructive and non-invasive, long range inspection process, using electromagnetic waves to remotely inspect buried, cased and insulated pipelines for corrosion. Profile's services are available to owners and operators of natural gas and oil pipelines, power plants and refineries, utilities, and most any facility with cased or insulated pipe.

The EMW-C Inspection System is a pipeline inspection method that does not require the inspector to physically remove the pipeline's casing or lagging or otherwise dig up the pipeline to visually inspect for corrosion and anomalies. The EMW-C Inspection System permits the inspection of pipelines with a minimal amount of disturbance to the coating or insulation on the pipeline. In addition, the EMW-C permits inspection over the entire pipeline, as opposed to other inspection methods, which only provide for spot point inspections. The Company has developed hardware and software to permit the testing of cased pipe from a single location while, at the same time, capturing data from the pipe traveling in both directions.

Beyond cased pipelines, Profile continues its research to modify this technique to inspect for pipeline internal corrosion and to inspect directly buried pipelines well. Profile's research facility is located in Albuquerque, NM.

Profile Technologies, Inc. Awarded Contract for EMW-C™ Inspection Services - August 20, 2008

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Profile Technologies, Inc. (OTC:PRTK, the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract with Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) to provide cased pipeline integrity assessments at eight road crossings in Northern California using the EMW-C™. This contract marks a return for the Company to provide these services to PG&E as a follow-up to a recent contract completed there in December of 2007. The new work is expected to take place in September 2008. The Company expects that this project will lead to additional inspection services with this and other pipeline operators.

The EMW-C™ Inspection Service developed by the Company can be used by pipeline operators to non-destructively assess the corrosion conditions of cased pipeline sections using a patented long-range electromagnetic scanning process. Cased pipeline sections (typically found at road, rail, and river crossings) present a unique challenge to otherwise standard assessment technologies. The EMW-C™ was specifically developed to assess cased and thermally insulated pipelines for corrosion and other conditions that may affect the integrity of those pipelines.

Profile Technologies, Inc. Makes Presentation at Public Workshop Organized by US DOT - July 22, 2008

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On July 15 – 16th, 2008, Profile Technologies, Inc. (OTC:PRTK, the “Company”) Chief Operating Officer, Robert Geib, attended the Cased Pipeline Integrity Assessment Workshop organized by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) as an invited presenter and panelist. The goal of the workshop, as described by PHMSA, is to “develop a list of potential solutions that can address the (cased pipe assessment) issues through usage of new technology, understanding of and/or changes to the regulations, updating of standards, operating practices and/or research”. The two day workshop was held in Chicago, IL and attended by over 160 pipeline industry stakeholders including natural gas and oil pipeline operators and associations, federal and state regulators, and service providers.

In many situations, the integrity assessment of existing buried cased pipelines as required by Federal and State regulations can prove to be a challenge to pipeline owners and operators using existing assessment methods. Geib provided a presentation describing how the EMW-C™, the Company’s long range electromagnetic inspection technology, can be used as an immediate solution to the challenge of integrity assessments. In addition to the initial assessment capabilities, the EMW-C™ was also presented as a long term monitoring tool allowing for continuous observation for potential corrosion-related conditions on cased pipe sections. The Company is very pleased with the comments received from attendees following the presentation.

Operational Update from Robert Geib, Chief Operating Officer - May 29, 2008

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In the six months since the Profile Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:PRTK, the “Company”) annual shareholders’ meeting, we have experienced growth on many fronts including the commercial availability of the EMW-C™ cased and insulated pipeline Inspection System and Service, and have provided inspection services to natural gas pipeline companies. We have received requests for additional revenue generating contracts, and have secured a new operations center and new personnel to meet new demands.

Our patented inspection process is commercially available as the EMW-C™ Inspection System which is designed, patented, built, and operated by the Company. It is a unique service that allows for the non-destructive inspection of cased and thermally insulated pipelines using electromagnetic waves (EMW) and Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR). The process allows for long range detection of unfavorable conditions that gives pipeline operators the data necessary to identify and prevent potentially damaging anomalies on their pipeline infrastructure. Compared to other inspection methods, the Company believes that its EMW technology possesses unique capabilities in locating conditions that before now would have required direct visual examination. It is flexible in its application and provides a cost efficient solution to obtaining valuable information about the condition of the pipeline that is otherwise difficult to obtain.

The newest generation of the EMW-C™ equipment is a self-powered compact unit that allows Profile Technologies to quickly connect to the pipeline, remotely control the equipment and collect and verify data from a nearby laptop. Preliminary data about the pipe’s condition can be provided to the customer within minutes and complete analysis and an accompanying report is made available shortly after completion of the inspection. The compact and modular format of the EMW-C™ minimizes setup time and processing, thus allowing for a rapid inspection and maximizing inspection range.

The Company has recently performed the EMW-C™ inspections for natural gas pipeline operators in the United States and as a result of providing favorable service has generated requests for additional revenue generating inspection work for these and other pipelines. The Company is now scheduling these additional inspection projects while continuing to market our services through presentations and demonstrations to potential natural gas and oil pipeline customers. In addition, we are currently making arrangements to provide demonstrations of our corrosion and water detection capabilities on thermally insulated pipelines in Alaska in June. The Company is also in discussions with gas pipeline operators and industry research firms to partner and develop inspection standards that utilize the EMW-C™.

As a result of the generated interest in the EMW-C™, the Company has hired an employee to provide field support and expects that more employees will be necessary in the near future to meet contract demand. Additionally, a new Operations and R&D center has been secured in Albuquerque, NM to serve as a base of operations for EMW-C™ inspection work, crew training, and additional product development as necessary.
