Profile Technologies, Inc. provides inspection services and technologies to assess and monitor critical physical infrastructure. Our patented non-invasive and non-destructive testing technologies provide a unique approach to assessment of metallic pipelines. Through the use of electromagnetic waves and the analysis of reflected signals our technology provides critical information about the surroundings of thermally insulated and cased pipelines. Additional development is also underway that will allow the technology to be used for internal inspection and inspection of direct buried pipelines. CASED AND INSULATED PIPELINE INSPECTION WITH THE EMW-C
The EMW-C Inspection Sytem created by Profile Technologies, Inc. provides pipeline operators with the ability to gain valuable information about the condition and environment of cased and insulated pipelines that is not otherwise available without removal of the casing or delagging. Using the EMW-C, long lengths of pipe can be inspected to identify locations of corrosion product, water buildup, carrier sag, and electrolytic or metallic shorts. This long range tool considerably minimizes inspection times where similar tools may only provide for short range inspection in the immediate vicinity of the tool.
